Customer Reviews about U.S. Bank Branch:

Awful customer service. One teller gave me $4 too much on a cash withdrawal and made me drive all the way back to the bank to return it. Another put a hold on a check for a week because we had opened a business account within the month, with no regard to the fact that we would have to use that money to pay employees within a few days. Why would I have a business account if I didn't need to use the money I put into it? Most of the tellers don't even know how to count money and it makes me nervous to know if they'll give me the amount it is supposed to be when I make a withdrawal. Today was the last time I will use this bank. If a different US Bank is the same, I will be switching banks.

Over 17-year customer and had a very disappointing experience at Hampden Crossing 80013 Branch. Cashing a check of $176 made in my and my wife’s name. Was told by Teller John Smith that your wife has to come in too. I asked him if anything could be done as my wife can’t leave her job and its just $176 check and she already endorsed it. First he flatly refused saying that the other party (Provident Funding) would not honor the check and finally he admitted only his manager could override it. Unable to understand, how a manager’s override would make Provident Funding honor the check, I waited for Jared Bottolfson the manager. In short Jared made this very clear to me that he could override this for only those customers he knows personally and would not give any consideration to me being customer for over 17 years. So I suggested to deposit the check in my wife’s account. Manager already left. John would not pull her account using her name and I did not have the account number so I needed to call her and get the info. My phone was left in the car. John told me to come back and go through the line and whole process of identification again. However, finally he decided to let me run to my car and get my phone, which actually took me less than 30 seconds. I called my wife for the account number and she did not have it. So I asked for her social security number. John told me that he would not pull her account with her social security number either until he talks to her. I offered him my phone so he could talk to her and verify whatever info he would like to. But he insisted for my wife to call into the bank. Finally after my wife called in, he pulled the account using her social after verifying some other info that I could have verified too. And finally I was able to deposit that check into my wife’s account. In summary 3 things I was totally unable to understand: Manager would only use their discretionary powers for their personal contacts and not give any consideration to loyalty or longevity of a customer. Still wondering why John would not talk to my wife using my phone and verify all that info without making her call into the bank from her work. All the suggestions to resolve the situation were initiated by me i.e. depositing the check into her account instead of cashing it and pulling her account using social etc. No problem solving attitude from either John or Jared. I made a complaint to the corporate office and absolutely nothing happened. No email no call, nothing at all. Seems like they don’t care at all.
